Curriculum Vitae

Johannes received an MSc degree in Physics from LMU Munich (2009) with specializations in Quantum Optics and Industrial Engineering and a PhD from ETH Zurich (2014). He worked as a student researcher at the MPI for Plasma Physics, the LPSC in Grenoble, and the MPI of Quantum Optics. In addition to Physics, Johannes spent time at the University of Flensburg studying Energy and Environmental Management. During his PhD thesis in the Laboratory for Energy Systems Analysis at the Paul Scherrer Institute he worked on the topic of electric mobility.

In 2014 he joined the SuAT group as a post-doctoral researcher to work in the context of the Swiss Competence Center for Energy Research (SCCER) Future Energy Efficient Buildings & Districts on building integrated photovoltaics and DC networks. In particular he is interested in novel thin-film PV applications and their implementation in the NEST HiLo building and the Adaptive Solar Façade.
